Joe Vasile, the Director of Public Relations & Broadcasting for the Hudson Valley Renegades, the Yankees High-A club, wrote, “I have twelve years of experience working in minor league baseball.” Although they are not all 30, the Yankees minors put in more daily work on defense and baserunning than any other organization I’ve seen.
I have twelve years of experience working in minor league baseball. Compared to other organizations I’ve observed, the Yankees minors put in more everyday work on defense and baserunning (not all 30 but about 15-20).oN1uXnysyM https://t.co/oI
“You wouldn’t believe some of the sh*t going on in our minor leagues,” said former Yankees shortstop Didi Gregorious to Vasile in response to a piece by Newsday’s Yankees beat writer Erik Boland on the lack of emphasis on basics.
Vasile responded, “Believe what you want,” when someone in the comments asked him about his post.
