Toddler dies after becoming unresponsive at N.J. daycare, cops say

A 1-year-old died at a Middlesex County daycare on Friday, and authorities are looking into the incident.

The Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office reported Tuesday that Perth Amboy officers were called to a residential daycare after the toddler lost consciousness.

According to the county prosecutor, the toddler was declared dead at a nearby hospital. The daycare center’s name was not disclosed by the agency.

Authorities are still looking into the toddler’s passing.
