Road closures and a high police presence were the results of a planned operation by federal law enforcement officers to carry out a search warrant in Parsippany early Wednesday.

Officers with long rifles were seen in the background of a house in the video, while a man appeared with his hands raised.

Police said one suspect was shot and sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, but it was unclear if the guy had been taken into custody.

Shots were fired this morning in Parsippany, New Jersey, while the DEA and its federal partners were carrying out a court-authorized search warrant, according to a Facebook post by Parsippany police. As a result, no agents were hurt.

According to police, no further remarks will be made and the event is still being investigated. They sent inquiries to the FBI.

Around 6:35 a.m., Parsippany police issued a Facebook alert to locals, advising them to stay indoors.

In a subsequent statement, authorities said that there was no public threat and that the problem had been resolved by approximately 7:15 a.m.

As of nine in the morning, Kingston Road between Route 202 and Alloway Road was still closed while the investigation was underway.

Around 8 a.m., Route 202, which had been closed northbound at Park Road, reopened.

Residents of Kingston Road between Route 202 and Alloway Road and Route 202 between Richards Street and Marcella Road were initially instructed by police to stay inside their homes until they were contacted by law enforcement.
