Two suspects have been arrested in connection with a string of auto burglaries that took place across several East Bay regional parks, including Sibley Volcanic Regional Preserve.
HEAT Officers Execute Arrest and Search Warrant in Antioch
The East Bay Regional Park District Police Department reported that the arrests occurred on July 15 after officers from the High Enforcement Apprehension Team (HEAT) carried out an arrest and search warrant at a residence in Antioch.
Firearms and Drugs Seized During Search
During the search, officers recovered seven firearms, including a fully automatic AR-15-style ghost gun equipped with a suppressor. Drugs were also found at the location, according to police.
Suspects Facing Multiple Charges
Authorities said the two suspects are facing a range of criminal charges, though specific counts have not been disclosed. The investigation remains ongoing.
