Pedestrian killed on N.J. roadway, cops say

According to authorities, a car struck a guy from Mercer County on Route 30 in Camden County on Saturday night, killing him.

Around 10:55 p.m. on Saturday, Winslow Township police were called to the area near the intersection of Pastore Orchards and Route 30 after receiving a report of someone lying in the middle of the road, according to authorities.

After locating Trenton resident Andre R. Keith, 46, police concluded that he had been struck while walking by an eastbound automobile.

Keith received on-scene treatment from emergency personnel before being taken to Cooper University Hospital, where he subsequently passed away, according to officials.

According to investigators, the driver who reportedly hit Keith stopped right away and stayed at the scene.

The Highway Safety Unit of the Winslow Township Police Department is investigating the incident.
