Due to fire department activities, the Willowbrook Mall in Wayne was temporarily closed on Sunday afternoon, according to the police.
Around 2:00 p.m., the Wayne Township Police Department posted on Facebook that the Passaic County mall, one of the biggest in New Jersey, was closed and that visitors should stay away from the area.
Police did not immediately confirm whether the mall was on fire or provide any other details.
With the exception of the food court, which was anticipated to be closed for an indefinite period of time, the mall reopened approximately an hour later, according to authorities.
