Murphy, state leaders hammer out deal on N.J. budget, tax increases

With just one week left before the deadline, NJ Advance Media has learned that Gov. Phil Murphy and legislative leaders are settling on a new state budget that would raise taxes on cigarettes, million-dollar homes, and online gaming in New Jersey, but not on bowling, batting cages, or laser tag, as was initially suggested.
