Mother Charged After 6-Year-Old Daughter Found Dead in Bathtub!

The New York Police Department has arrested a Brooklyn mother after her 6-year-old daughter was found dead in a bathtub on Saturday. Authorities responded to a 911 call and took the woman into custody 24 hours later.

The mother, 26-year-old Karla Espinal, now faces charges of assault and reckless endangerment, according to police reports.

Officers received the emergency call from a home in Cypress Hills around 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Upon arrival, they discovered the little girl unconscious in a bathtub filled with water. Police noted that she had blood clots in her eyes. Family members, including the girl’s parents and grandfather, were present at the time of the incident.

Emergency responders rushed the girl to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, but doctors were unable to save her. The medical examiner’s office will determine the exact cause of death in the coming days.

The girl’s father, who works at a nearby supermarket, has alleged that his daughter was murdered. He shared his heartbreak in messages sent to his manager, Emmanuel Pichardo, shortly after the tragedy.

“I’m in the hospital, they killed my daughter. I’m going crazy… let’s see if God sends a miracle,” the father wrote in Spanish.

Pichardo expressed deep sorrow over the incident, remembering how much the father loved talking about his daughter. He also recalled seeing multiple police vehicles outside the supermarket around 2:00 p.m. on the day of the incident, unaware that the tragedy involved his employee’s family.

“I figured something big had happened in the area, but I didn’t know exactly where they were headed. Later, sadly, I got the news,” he said.

Authorities have not released further details about the case. Investigators continue to look into the circumstances surrounding the child’s death.
