Olympic champion Michael Phelps has agreed to teach the football players how to swim as a way of giving back to his hometown Baltimore Ravens.

After cornerback Marlon Humphrey shared a social media video of multiple players requesting that Phelps come to the team’s training facility to teach them how to compete in the water, the Ravens reached out to the 23-time gold medalist this week.

Humphrey, offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley, safety Kyle Hamilton, and tight end Charlie Kolar recorded their sly cry for assistance from a swimming pool. Kolar later told reporters he didn’t think their video would be made public.

We have an issue, Mr. Phelps. One in three Ravens are unable to swim, in case you were unaware. In the video, they say.

A day later, Phelps responded on social media, saying, “I got yall!!!” He thought his home team’s strategy sounded good. Come on, let’s do it!

Fans responded by referring to him as the greatest of all time and requesting that the classes be filmed for public viewing.

Phelps is the most decorated Olympian of all time with a total of 28 medals. In the meanwhile, the Ravens have won two Super Bowls and are anticipated to be fiercely competitive when they play the Pittsburgh Steelers on September 7.

When the Jets travel to Baltimore for a game on November 23, they might be able to join the Ravens for a swim in the Inner Harbor.
