The stunt double for Ella Hunt is suing Kevin Costner for sexual harassment, claiming she was coerced into performing in an unplanned, brutal rape scene in one of the Horizon movies. Costner is attempting to have the complaint dismissed.

In legal filings acquired by TMZ, the 70-year-old two-time Oscar winner’s attorneys, Marty Singer and T. Wayne Harman, claim that Devyn LaBella merely expressed thanks and excitement as she wrapped up the unreleased second installment of Horizon: An American Saga.

Singer and Harman, who included statements from the cast and crew refuting LaBella’s assertions, stated that there was no animosity or hostility. In his declaration, Costner decried LaBella s accusations as absolutely false and deeply disappointing.

A text included in the lawsuit purports that LaBella complimented a supervisor for these amazing weeks.

Thank you so much! She went on, “I learned so much and thank you again.” I’m also rather pleased with how things turned out. Enjoy the remainder of the shoot, and we will definitely speak soon!

In late May, according to Variety at the time, LaBella filed a lawsuit against the director and star of Yellowstone for sexual harassment, a hostile work environment, failure to prevent or remedy sexual harassment and discrimination, retaliation, interference with the exercise of civil rights, intentional infliction of distress, and breach of contract.

According to her, the scene acted alongside 6 2 and 220 pounds. Despite her willingness to assist, Roger Ivens was added on the spur of the moment, which is against SAG-AFTRA and outside the purview of her work as a stunt double. Additionally, she claimed that no intimacy coordinators were present at the site.

She claimed that defendant Costner gave Mr. Ivens instructions to repeatedly rape Ms. LaBella in a violent simulated manner.

According to TMZ, Costner claims that LaBella was completely dressed at the time and that there was no rape, simulated intercourse, or physical contact between the performers.

Costner’s attorneys also denounced the case as baseless back in June, pointing out that other witnesses had refuted it.
