The Guinness World Record for the most continuous days of surfing is held by the legendary figure in water sports.

According to Surfer, the California native rode 43,923 waves in his time there.

In a 2000 story, Wesbter told the New York Times, “I think of all the things I’ll have missed in life because of this.” The recollection of riding all those waves will be all I have left. It feels like my own private Disneyland when I’m out there observing the seals, sea lions, and 30-inch salmon jumping while I have all those waves to myself.
