Flood watch for 9 N.J. counties until 2 a.m. Wednesday caused by prolonged downpours

At 2:30 am on Tuesday, the National Weather Service issued a flood watch for the counties of Hunterdon, Somerset, Middlesex, Monmouth, Mercer, Salem, Gloucester, Camden, and Burlington. The watch was in effect from 2 pm to 2 am on Wednesday.

According to the weather service, flooding could result from too much rainfall.
