According to officials, a three-story residential structure in Newark caught fire on Sunday morning, forcing four people to flee.
According to Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, firefighters arrived at the Taylor Street building just after 9:45 a.m. to put out the fire, which was contained by 10:30 a.m.
There were no reported injuries.
According to Miranda, the fire forced four families—including nine adults and four children—to relocate.
According to a Newark official, the American Red Cross is helping the displaced families.
Miranda stated that the Arson Unit of the Newark Department of Public Safety is still investigating the cause and origin of the incident.
There were no immediate details provided.
