Nick Sirianni led the Eagles to the Super Bowl in just two seasons. Andy Reidsix was required. When Sirianni coached the Eagles to their second Super Bowl championship, he accomplished in four seasons what Reid was unable to do in fourteen.
The four coaches who came before him are all inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and his regular-season winning percentage of.706 ranks seventh all-time among coaches who have played in at least 24 games.
With a 48–20 regular season record, the Eagles head coach is already fourth on the team’s all-time winning list. With six wins in nine games, he is second in the postseason standings.
As he prepares for his fifth season with the Eagles, Respect is still making references to the occasionally irascible and unconventional coach.
The only list of coaches Sirianni was on a year ago, following the team’s collapse in the final stretch and their loss in the first round of the playoffs, was the one that put him on a hot seat heading into 2024.
In response, he managed the NFL’s third-ever 18-win squad.
Although Sirianni is no longer on the hot seat, he isn’t as well regarded as he ought to be among the league’s best coaches.
Sirianni, for example, is ranked No. 8 by Pro Football Focus. The league’s top 10 a year ago looked like this: Reid is number one, followed by Kyle Shanahan of San Francisco, John Harbaugh of Baltimore, Sean McVay of the Los Angeles Rams, Mike Tomlin of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Matt LaFleur of Green Bay, Dan Campbell of Detroit, DeMeco Ryans of Houston, Kevin Stefanski of Cleveland, and Sean McDermott of Buffalo.
Prior to the 2025 season, Sirianni was only ranked ninth in the PFF coaching rankings, despite his 8-0 record against those coaches the previous season.
The website’s remarks regarding the Eagles coach were as follows:
The assessment ignores how Sirianni overcame a tense relationship with quarterback Jalen Hurts and how frequently his teammates, notably rookie Barkley, adopted his coaching philosophy.
The PFF’s 2025 top 10 looked like this: Reid, 2. Sean Payton of Denver, 3. McVay, 4. Harbaugh, John Tomlin and the Chargers Shanahan, 7. Jim Harbaugh, 8. Sirianni, 9. Stefanski, and 9. Campbell.
Sirianni has an 11–4 record overall versus that group of coaches. This season, Sirianni and the Eagles will play against Campbell, Jim Harbaugh, McVay, Reid, and Payton.
Sirianni was ranked fourth on a similar list published by profootballnetwork.com late last week, behind Reid, McVay, and John Harbaugh. He was ranked eleventh a year ago.
