At this MSNBC presenter, MAGA is exploding.
Despite local officials emphasizing that crime rates have already started to decline, President Donald Trump declared on Monday that he would be taking over the police force in Washington, D.C., and sending hundreds of National Guard soldiers to the city in an attempt to fight crime. Soon later, National Guard soldiers were seen in the vicinity.
During the latest White House press briefing on Tuesday, Benny Johnson, a conservative commentator and social media personality, used his appearance in the new media seat to criticize crime in D.C. and ask whether Big Balls, a former Department of Government Efficiency staffer who was recently assaulted, should receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
Johnson also cited criticism of the National Guard deployment from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).
Johnson’s question was answered by Jen Psaki, a former press secretary in the previous administration, on a recent episode of The Briefing.
Well, I must give it to you, Benny. Psaki stated that the absurdity of that query did not let him down.
First of all, though, Nancy Pelosi is correct. There is no doubt that the National Guard’s deployment is not intended to reduce crime. That has been declining. “It’s about a lot of things,” she added, “including shifting the topic and normalizing military in the streets.”
Psaki just had a complete meltdown LIVE on-air, Johnson said in a post on Xlate on Wednesday in response to the piece.
In a circle Returning Psaki was furious that she had to mention the name: “Say his name,” Johnson wrote. We do it for this reason.
Gentlemen. There’s no drill here.Because of my questions during the White House press briefing, Jen Psaki just had a complete breakdown LIVE on-air at MSNBC.The fact that Circle Back Psaki had to pronounce the name Big Balls infuriated her.Call out his name. This is the reason we do it.Check it out:pic.twitter.com/mbLgRn9mq1
The video had also been attacked by other critics.
LMAO! Check in on Jen Psaki, please. Another commentator stated that she suffers from @bennyjohnson Derangement Syndrome.
According to the Post Millennial report, Benny and Big Balls are what set off Psaki.
Republican lawyer Mehek Cooke tweeted, “Wild how the Left melts down over Big Balls… but not over big crime rates.”
Another user said, “I can’t stand it when Jen circles back.”
Johnson continued by writing, “Man, I miss these press briefings,” and expressing his wish that he had been able to ask Psaki a question. There’s so much to laugh at.
Trump stated that he would request a long-term extension from Congress to federalize the Metropolitan Police Department, a move that would ultimately need Democratic backing, during his speech at the Kennedy Center on Wednesday. The president may assume authority of the department under a provision of the city’s Home Rule Act, but only for a maximum of 30 days without the consent of Congress.
Additionally, he has proposed that other American cities, such as New York City, Los Angeles, Baltimore, Oakland, and Chicago, might be the next to be targeted.
In the meantime, federal authorities said in early January that Washington’s overall violent crime rate for 2024 had dropped to a 30-year low. Since then, the rate has fallen by 26%, according to publicly available data.
