The Sunday treasure hunt for Democratic mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani was so well-liked that it quickly ran out of clue cards, yet unfazed participants persisted.
In a video accompanied by the Jeopardy jingle, Mamdani announced the location of the first clue on Sunday morning on X, saying, “I wouldn’t be the youngest mayor.” Does that honor go to someone who was somewhat of a Notting Hill star? and belonged to an established political apparatus in New York. Meet us in front of the Gilded Age hall, where that mayor *lot* of his time was spent, to start the hunt.

Hundreds of individuals had already figured out the first puzzle at precisely 2:00 p.m. and were waiting in line in Union Square, ready to continue.
reached the first clue’s answer: Mamdani shared an enthusiast’s tweet, which was read in Tammany Hall, Union Square. This scavenger hunt is really smart.
Michael Lange, a political journalist, tweeted that all of 17th Street near Union Square is filled, estimating that there are at least 1,500 people online.
As they traveled from Union Square to the Staten Island Ferry and beyond, culminating in Astoria, participants documented their multi-borough excursions on X in real time throughout the afternoon.

I’ve got something to conceal was the first line of the Game On video, which Mamdani used to announce the hunt on Sunday. Many things, in fact, while munching on the same brand and variety of potato chips that a reporter was supposedly given last week by a campaign assistant for Mayor Adams who had allegedly packed them with cash.
According to him, contestants would follow a sequence of hints that were all connected to a specific topic in the history of New York City before arriving at a final destination to pick up a possible prize—which he assured them would not be cash. The riff persisted in making fun of the ongoing bribery allegations involving Mayor Adams’ campaign and administration.
The game has begun. or atrain. or abus.

Mamdani managed to turn the lack of clue cards into a positive by asking those who arrived earlier to take use of the neighborhood’s offerings while they waited as the 5:30 cutoff window drew closer.
He tweeted that the last stop would only be accessible to people who have clue cards. We had no idea that so many New Yorkers would be willing to scavenge!
Hugh J. Grant, a member of the influential Democratic Party political apparatus known as Tammany Hall, was the youngest mayor in history. He was elected at the age of thirty and sworn in at the age of thirty-one. He served from 1889 to 1892.
Mamdani is thirty-three.
