Los Angeles: To Laura Loomer and Stephen Miller: As a fellow Jew, I think everyone has the right to support their own thoughts and beliefs, and I’m not here to promote any one of them. However, I feel compelled to speak up when these views have broad repercussions, the most of which are negative.

Given that Jews have historically been the most despised and persecuted group in history, how can two individuals so easily hate and persecute others? Which branch or sect of Judaism promotes, propagates, or tolerates extreme intolerance and hatred? Being leaders and cultivators of such hatred in this tragically divided polarity that permeates our daily lives is unfathomable. This conduct is intolerable and, to be honest, contradicts every value and ideal that Jews uphold throughout their lives.

Bigotry and hatred are taught and transmitted from one generation to the next. Therefore, the apparent hostility that seems to pervade every moment of your life is not entirely your fault. Please remember that people of different religions and cultures will always exist, just like Jews, but you have put up a short-lived barrier for those who have been despised in this nation simply because they look and dress differently or pray differently than the majority of Americans.

In a little period when your fifteen minutes of fame have passed, take a moment to reflect on yourself and try to comprehend the terrible outcomes that your support of this ingrained hatred allows. Try again after cleaning that mirror if you are unable to comprehend.Levinson, Richard

Staten Island: It’s time to give the decent, diligent immigrants some props. This letter was inspired by Detective First Class Didarul Islam. He gave his life as the greatest sacrifice and lived and died a devoted human being. reminding me of my Italian immigrant father-in-law, Felice DeFrancesco, who worked as a deckhand on the Staten Island Ferry and knew my future Uncle George before I did. Uncle George was a New York City police officer who rode the ferry to work every day. Felice was familiar to the travelers and polite. He was a family hero who never made headlines when he dove into the ocean to save someone who had gone overboard. Islam supported his family by being a giver and an achiever. In addition, my father-in-law had a second career on Staten Island as a wooden boat corker, a profession he had long since retired. What are we becoming, given the large number of law-abiding, innocent immigrants who have been detained and frequently forcibly torn from their families?DeFrancesco, Mary Ann

Dover, Delaware: Let’s be honest about the reasons behind the ICE agents’ face coverings. The reason for this is that a few of them are the thugs that attacked the police officers defending democracy from those attempting to hang Mike Pence. Real law enforcement and the excellent snoops who helped catch them were able to identify and prosecute them. The Big Fat Lying Felon then let these criminals beat and abuse Americans and migrants, saying he was ridding the country of the same people he had let in, while his henchmen denied the bipartisan agreement to control the border.White Chalky

Voting for Zohran Mamdani in Far Rockaway? According to James 1:8, King James Version, a man who has two minds is unstable in every manner.Reed Ora

Cincinnati: For ten years, the elected officials have been struggling against President Trump. But the ideological purists keep political botanists busy summoning new species of tea, rather than reading the tea leaves and making room for some of his popular, voter-tested ideas, such as pragmatic politicians. Another ridiculous example of Trump Derangement Syndrome is Mamdani’s Democratic nomination for mayor of the biggest city in America. All members of Democratic legislative conferences seem to be influenced by an unreasonable dislike of the noisy president, and it is not simply a small number of persuasive voices that keep the members firmly contained within party kennels. Their melancholy monologue stands in stark contrast to his ebullience. The celebration, which was once defined by a sincere, joyous warrior named Hubert Humphrey who understood how to lose gracefully, should be prepared.Bloustein, Paul

Manhattan: Voicer Ralph Palladino is right when he says that if you can’t put in a hand, mainstream Democratic leaders should move aside. The greatest advocate for the working class and poor that New York has ever sent to Congress, Vito Marcantonio, served seven terms (with a two-year break in the late 1930s) before the Democratic Party, Republicans, and liberals plotted to remove him from office three quarters of a century ago. Despite never being a Democrat, Marcantonio was able to win the majority of Democratic votes in East Harlem because the electorate was aware of his affiliation. Maybe the Dem big shots who are hesitant to support Mamdani should join a another party where they would feel more accepted. They will not be overlooked.Brown, Michele P.

Howard Beach: It appears that Trump and his MAGA fans are becoming irritated with California Governor Gavin Newsom’s mimicry of Trump’s Truth Social posts. It’s past time someone demonstrated how completely absurd Trump’s posts sound. Newsom’s posts have been spot-on and entertaining. The Democrats need someone with Newsom’s tenacity. Gavin, go get him!Berg, Barbara

South River, New Jersey: Because his bromance pal Vladimir Putin argues that mail-in ballots are terrible, Emperor Frump wants to do away with them. He would be robbing every service member serving our nation abroad of their ability to vote by doing this. Great concept, fool! You MAGA idiots must truly adore your (soon-to-be new) nation, Russia, if you agree with him. You most definitely don’t care about America or the courageous men and women who sacrifice their lives to defend it.McSorley, Donald

Howard Beach: Given that Trump has told us thousands of lies over the past ten years—some would even say thousands and thousands—I can assume that some people reading this right now will not admit it. I’d rather think the latter. But none could be better than the last thing I heard. He said in a radio broadcast that he and Bibi Netanyahu ought to be regarded as war heroes. Trump is a hero of the war. Ha! Whether Bibi qualifies as a military hero is beyond me. But I do know that there is no way on God s green Earth that Trump can even be mentioned in the same paragraph as a war hero.Ed Sullivan

Plans for a larger military attack in Gaza City are reported in Providence, Rhode Island: ReIsrael will call up reservists (Aug. 21): For Netanyahu and his goons, here is a theme song: The plan has been approved by our committee, and that’s the real deal! We’ll seize the city and show the populace no mercy.Felicia Ackerman, Nimue

Whitestone: To Dominick Delasandro, the voice actor: You’re absolutely right! Moving out is made easy by the attractive idiots who make these decisions after more than 70 years of living in this city. It appears to be the plan.Basile, Frank

Brooklyn: Voicer Arthur Martello wonders why, with all the advances in physical therapy and trainers, there are so few complete games these days. Three factors are involved. Analytics is one that he brought up. Pitchers aren t nearly as effective when they face a batting order for the third time. Another is that hitters in this day strike out and walk a lot more than in the past, thereby causing the pitcher to throw more pitches. And teams now have relievers whose job is to throw as hard as they can for one inning, and who are much more effective than a starter who is usually tired after throwing 90-100 pitches.Dennis Burge

Bloomfield, N.J.: Yes, please bring back the Justice Story.Eli Kelley
