Crowbar, a metal band, is set to embark on a North American tour that begins Thursday in Orlando, Florida. However, due to persistent back issues, guitarist Kirk Windstein informed everyone that he would be performing from a seated posture for the rest of the trek.
Windstein, 60, informed followers of his walking difficulties caused by sciatica or a possible ruptured disc in a video that was uploaded to his personal Facebook page. Additionally, he has been using a walker and a cane as mobility aids.
According to Windstein (transcribed by Blabbermouth), I have sought medical assistance at the hospital and through my beloved chiropractor, and at worst, I may have a severe sciatica flare-up or possibly a burst disc in my lower spine. As a result, I’m probably going to have to start this tour sitting down, but we’ll be singing and playing as well as I can. The tour starts Thursday in Orlando, by the way, and it’s sold out. Thank you everybody. The truth is that I simply cannot walk at this time.
Windstein proceeded by talking about the ongoing suffering he has been feeling but his decision to keep a positive outlook.
Windstein remarked, “I’m sixty years old, and I’ve never experienced this pain in my life.” In any case, I don’t think negatively; I think positively. We will kick ass every night, so it will be fantastic. Thank you so much, everyone.
