On Sunday morning, a 77-year-old man was killed in a farm machinery accident in New Jersey.
At 10:16 a.m., first responders were dispatched to Hunter’s Farm in Cinnaminson, where 77-year-old John Howard Hunter was discovered fatally injured following a mechanical accident.
The farm said in a statement, “As many of you have already heard, our family suffered a tragic loss of the family patriarch today.” In his honor, please tell the people you care about that you love them. Life can change in an instant, so give them a hug, a kiss, or a phone call.
In addition to running a seasonal farmer’s market with an emphasis on fruits and vegetables, the Hunter family has owned the farm since the 18th century.
The farm, which is closed on Mondays, will remain closed until further notice, according to the family.
The farm’s Facebook site was inundated with tributes to Hunter.
His sense of humor was the greatest. It made me grin every time I thought about him, Written by Karen Kreutzberg.

What a great man. This loss is really heartbreaking! The summers I spent with him and his father are largely responsible for my identity and work ethic. They showed me what it takes to put in the effort and get dirty. David Sanchez stated, “I always think about them, and after hearing this news, I’ll be thinking about them and the family extra.”
The investigation is still ongoing, but police have not yet disclosed any additional information regarding the equipment used or Hunter’s injuries.
Cinnaminson is located in Mercer County, roughly 12 miles northeast of Philadelphia.
