Pat Schrager, a new ESPN contributor, has spoken candidly about his choice to leave NFL Network.
Schrager left the NFL Network in March after co-hosting Good Morning Football since 2016. When the show moved from New York to Los Angeles, he gave an explanation of his decision on the “SI Media with Jimmy Traina” podcast.
I had a year left on my contract when they relocated the show to Los Angeles, so I began planning my next move. I’ve run out of things to provide that show. I adore that program. I’m rooting for it. “I actually still watch it when I’m flipping around in the mornings,” he remarked.
Co-hosts Kyle Brandt and Jamie Erdahl are also on the show. In March 2024, the show announced that it was relocating to Los Angeles.
Every month, I performed for a week on the West Coast. However, it woke up at two in the morning. It simply didn’t make sense. I had no intention of transferring my family. “Until the contract ended, I did the best job I could,” Schrager stated.
Schrager makes appearances on First Take, The Pat McAfee Show, and Get Up with ESPN.
