Police are investigating after suitcases containing hard drives with
unreleased Beyoncé music were stolen
from her team’s rental car ahead of her tour stop in Atlanta.
An arrest warrant was issued Monday, nearly a week after
choreographer Christopher Grant and Diandre Blue reported a break-in
of their Jeep Wagoneer rental, according to multiple reports.
The duo returned to a parking deck on the evening of July 8 at the
Krog Street Market
, where they’d spent an hour, and found a vehicle window damaged and two suitcases missing.
Grant told APD the contents of those cases included hard drives containing the
Grammy-winning superstar’s
unreleased music,
“Cowboy Carter” tour
set lists and footage plans for
the tour, which ends later this month in Las Vegas
.
The luggage also contained clothes, designer sunglasses, laptops and AirPods Max headphones.
TMZ published a recording of one of the victims reporting the crime to 911, in which
he says the computers hold “really, really important information
.
“Like I work with someone who’s like, of a high status, and I really need my computer and everything,” said one of the victims.
Beyoncé
brought her “Cowboy Carter” tour to The Big Peach
July 10 and has since played three other shows there, including one Monday night.
In December, the
“Texas Hold ‘Em” singer
, 43, was crowned Billboard’s Greatest Pop Star of the 21st Century and this February,
finally won the Album of the Year
for “Cowboy Carter” — her eighth studio album and first in the country genre.
