Sean “Diddy” Combs
is reportedly taking part in rehabilitation programs behind bars geared toward sexual assault and domestic violence prevention as he awaits sentencing for prostitution-related charges.
The 55-year-old mogul is currently participating in the
STOP Program
, therapy and a drug abuse program, insiders told TMZ.
Though one source dubbed the self-improvement endeavors part of the Harlem-born Bad Boy’s “path toward redemption,” as the outlet put it, there’s also the incentive for Combs to show Judge Arun Subramanian that he’s a changed man. Subramanian is the one who will ultimately decide Combs’ fate.
The outlet was told that Combs started seeking treatment for drug use
ahead of his September 2024 arrest
.
Combs was acquitted earlier this month of federal sex trafficking and racketeering charges, for which he would have faced life in prison.
Combs, whose sentencing is set for Oct. 3, was convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, facing 20 years total.
Combs was
denied release on $1 million bond
and will instead remain in custody ahead of sentencing, with Subramanian citing Diddy’s history of admitted domestic abuse — which a former girlfriend and witness “Jane,” testified occurred as recently as June 2024.
“This type of violence, which happens behind closed doors in personal relationships, sparked by unpredictable bouts of anger, is impossible to police with conditions,” said the judge.
Combs’ ex-girlfriend
Cassie Ventura
, whose
explosive lawsuit
kicked off Diddy’s reputational and legal downfall in late 2023,
testified to abuse she endured during their tumultuous on-off relationship
from 2007 to 2018.
