Jay Feely, a former Giants placekicker, was caught spiking the football prior to the game, or in this instance, the conclusion of the war.
Feely, 49, commended President Donald Trump on Monday for intervening in the conflict between Israel and Iran and for using Tomahawk missiles and bunker buster bombs to strike three Iranian nuclear sites over the weekend in an effort to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon, which Israel already possesses.
Iran fired missiles at a U.S. base in Qatar on Monday in retaliation. Both Qatar and the Trump administration were informed of the strike in advance, but no injuries were recorded.
Feely celebrated too soon after Trump claimed that Israel and Iran had reached an agreement on Monday on what he called a complete and comprehensive truce.
According to Feely on X, President Trump’s first term brought about historic peace in the Middle East through the Abraham Accords. His swift action has brought American hostages home, stopped Iran from pursuing nuclear weapons, and once again mediated peace six months into his second administration.
Power for peace!
But the ceasefire has been weak. The Iranian military refuted Israel’s claim that Iran violated the truce by sending missiles into its airspace.
On Tuesday morning, Trump voiced his dissatisfaction with Iran and Israel.
After declaring a ceasefire on Monday night, Trump blasted Israel and Iran for fighting one another at the White House on Tuesday. He expressed his dissatisfaction with the state of affairs.
In essence, we have two nations who have been engaged in such a protracted and intense conflict that they have no idea what the hell they’re doing. Do you get that?Trump stated.
NFL writer and Pro Football Hall of Fame selector Jason Cole noted that Feely’s tweet did not hold up over time. “Oops.@jayfeely,” Cole replied as mayhem broke out.
Feely, a 14-year veteran of seven NFL teams, is a Republican candidate for Congress in Arizona’s 5th Congressional District. As a Republican, he backs Trump and the America First philosophy. He claimed that Trump’s assassination attempt served as the impetus for his desire to run for politics.
But not every Trump supporter is in favor of conflict. Actually, the majority of them don’t, which aided Trump’s reelection.
Trump attacked the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan during his campaign and stated that wars should not continue indefinitely. He added that one of his foreign policy goals was to get rid of America-last globalists and belligerents.
Trump promised to bring about peace, especially in the Middle East, and avert World War III. He also underlined the importance of strengthening the military to prevent wars from starting.
