The New Jersey Turnpike Authority’s $6.2 billion plan to rebuild the Newark Bay bridge with twin spans with more lanes drew more than 200 people to a heated last public hearing on Wednesday.
Supporters, many of whom were union members wearing matching t-shirts, and opponents, including authorities and residents from Hoboken and Jersey City, crowded the auditorium of Woodrow Wilson School #10 in Bayonne.
