New Jersey will celebrate Juneteenth this year with parades, festivals, concerts, family activities, and special gatherings from June 17 to June 22 in towns from Newark to Camden.
The events will bring people together to remember the end of slavery and celebrate freedom, culture, and unity.
Here are eight Juneteenth events happening across New Jersey this year:
1. 5th Annual Juneteenth Parade & Festival
Hosted by the Cherry Hill African American Civic Association, the free celebration will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 21 at Croft Farm, 100 Bortons Mill Road in Cherry Hill. 2. Juneteenth New Jersey Festival
The Juneteenth New Jersey Festival will take place at 3 p.m. on June 21 at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel. This lively music festival, featuring performances by artists such as Larry June and Honey BXBY, will offer an exciting way to celebrate Juneteenth through music and community. 5. Juneteenth Freedom Day

6. Downtown Metuchen’s Juneteenth Celebration
Celebrate Juneteenth at the Metuchen Town Plaza from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17. The event will feature spoken word performances, an energetic drumline, live music, and more to honor the spirit and significance of Juneteenth through art, culture, and community.
7. Art X Ure Media’s Juneteenth
Corgi Spirits in Jersey City will host a vibrant Juneteenth celebration from 6 to 11 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, featuring an evening of art, music, local vendors, delicious food, and community spirit. The event promises a lively and meaningful atmosphere to honor the historic day and bring people together in celebration.
8. Red Bank Juneteenth Celebration
Johnny Jazz Park in Red Bank will come alive with a community Juneteenth celebration from 1 to 4 p.m. on June 18. The event will feature food trucks, live music, guest speakers, and more.
