From the Coach

What This Team Does Better than Anybody:  We run a balanced run and pass offense.

Biggest Surprise of the Off-season:  How hard our underclassmen from last year worked during Covid.

Team Goal:  Win Game 1.

Final Thought: Although we lost a lot to graduation, our underclassmen have worked very hard to earn their starting positions.

George Muha’s Take

George Muha’s Take is sponsored by Parisi Speed School of Morristown. Reach out to Parisi today to get bigger, faster and stronger because champions are made in the off-season.

Sparta always kills people’s fantasy leagues every year because there are always two or three players that no-one ever heard of that will catch like 80 passes, rush for 1,300-yards and score 24 touchdowns.  At least this year we all know sophomore sensation quarterback Austen Frattura (who should definitely be your first pick).  But this year I am going to give my fantasy sleeper pick and that is RB Sam Esposito.  Word from camp is he’s a grinder and he’s only a junior so he’s a great pick for leagues that allow carry-over players.  Prediction:  It’s Sparta so there’s no reason not to expect them to be competing for a Sectional Title (or whatever a championship might look like in this post apocalyptical world we live in).  My Game of the Year is going to be their Week 3 game versus West Morris Central because those games are always epic.
