From the Coach

What This Team Does Better than Anybody:  Culture: Faith, Toughness, Hard Work, Discipline (FTHD); Tempo; Great Teammates. Our 2020 theme is As One. We need to have a team full of players and coaches who love each other and play/coach for each other. We are hoping that through the culture that we build, we will be able to perform under pressure by playing for and loving one another, and the results will be in our favor due to the culture.

Biggest Surprise of the Off-season:  So many of our young guys matured and did such a great job developing as players and people. Also, the additions of our transfers and freshmen and how they have bought into the program so seamlessly, has helped us not miss a beat from a season in which we graduated 13 seniors, seven of which are playing in college. Additionally, we were able to add a few quality coaches to an already very strong staff.

Team Goal:  1-0 each week; be great teammates; Be who we say we are; Continue to elevate the proud tradition of MC Football. We believe if we continue to do things the right way, success will continue to find us.

Other Comments: This has been a strange offseason, but our boys have been great. We had well over 50 virtual sessions and since July 13th have worked very hard in person, despite all the surrounding circumstances. Our 2020 Bible verse is Joshua 1:9, which is Be Strong and Courageous! I feel like our boys and coaches have exhibited this consistently throughout this pandemic.

It’s been fun watching this program grow since Coach Hack took over the reigns six years ago.  Hack’s first goal was to win a playoff game (something MC hasn’t done since the Regan administration…literally).  Now that that’s out of the way, it’s time to build more of a playoff resume and that’s what this squad will do this year.  They got some dudes on the team and even had some nice athletes transfer in.  Prediction:  I believe this Crusader’s squad will be the team to beat in this division.   They still have games to play but this group has the ability to go undefeated against this schedule.
