Head Coach: Katherine DeBiasse

How many years have you coached at Villya? This is my second season as head coach of Villa Walsh lacrosse, and it was a season I was/am very excited. I have a talented senior group, who paved the way ALL winter to help get their team excited about the 2020 season.

Who are your captains? Senior captains Nina Bilotti and Ella Flood would have likely been midfielders this season, and would have been both offensive and defensive threats respectively.

Who are other seniors you were relying on this season? Our other seniors, Lili Crowther (Mid), Lexi Bowers (A), Dana Woodruff (D), and Maureen Walsh (D) are all impactful players, and are leaders both on an off the field.

How about the rest of the supporting cast? I was excited about our large incoming freshmen class that had a lot of depth all over the field. Freshmen like Siobhan Bracken and Maggie Noonan showed a lot of promise during our first week of preseason. Other players to watch are, Bridget Christie (A), Morgan McGuire (mid/A), and Nora Crowther (mid).

What’s your outlook? It is my hope that through continual communication with my girls that they remain hopeful that there are some games left in the 2020 season. I am hopeful, I am very grateful to this senior class, and their hard work and dedication to their sport, their school, and their teammates. They deserve to play, and I hope they get that chance.
