Team: Roxbury Boys Tennis

Coach: Peter Flynn

Seasons with the Team: 5th Season

2019 Record: 0-15

Anticipated Varsity Players: Preston Chey (11), Omar Abdallah (12), John Pergolizzi (12), Justin Dougherty (10)

Players on the Rise: Justin da Silva (12), Matt Attalla (11), Taylor Kramer (10)

Coach’s Outlook: Although we graduated 4 starters from last year’s team, this is the deepest team we’ve had in quite a while. Preston Chey is on his third year at number one singles, and each season he’s improved. He should be competitive against many teams in the area. Outside of that, it’s hard to predict after having so few practices and so many players who could be challenging for the other varsity spots.

George Muha has been covering high school sports since 2006. He feels high school scholar-athletes are a very important part of the community and highlighting their achievements on the field, in the classroom and within the community, to the Morris-Sussex area is his mission.
