Coach’s Outlook: Morris Hills is very excited for this season. Unfortunately we now have a giant curveball that has been thrown at the world. Had this not happened, I was expecting this to be the best season in Morris Hills history. We have challenged for the Colonial North Championship the last 2 years coming in 2nd and 3rd. This year we moved to the Colonial South and absolutely expected to compete for the championship. We also expected to have a very good chance to advance in both counties and states for the first time in our history. Lots of returning players and offensive firepower led by Senior Middie Sam Crossan 33 g, 17 assists, 67 draw controls, 63 ground balls; Senior Middie/Attack Abby Liles with 20 goals in just half of a season. Very strong in the nets with 3rd Team All County Goalie Olivia Maute- 219 saves and a 59.2% save rate. Replacing 3 defensive starters but have a group of very talented and speedy and aggressive newcomers and also returning backups.

Liv Maute has a chance to break the school record for saves assuming we get to play. She is 7 saves short of tieing the record of 599 saves and with 600 will break and set new milestone. Probably would have gotten to 700. Might be a nice video interview story for you. Going on to play D2 at Mercy College in the fall.
