Team: Northern Highlands Girls LAX

Coach: Mike Menzella

Season’s with the Team: 10

2019 Record: 9-9

Anticipated Varsity Players: 20

Players on the Rise: Molly Bennett, Charlotte Fargis, Lindsay Sparago, Caroline Bodnar

Seniors that will contribute: Meg Cromie, Allie Hite – both have been staples to our defense and midfield the last three years and we will lean on their leadership to help guide us.

Coach’s Outlook: We graduated 9 seniors from last years campaign that saw key wins over Westfield, Mahwah, and Saddle River Day (twice) and finished 9-9. We can’t look in the rear-view mirror and look at what is behind us but must focus on the road ahead. We only return 3 starters so there is a ton of competition for positions as we try to replace a GK, our entire starting defense, 2 midfielders, and 2 attackers. To be successful we will need to stay healthy, and master the facets of our defensive system and offensive rotation. Everyone will have to step up and play as a unit in order to be successful.
