The Parisi Speed School Player of the Week for this week goes to the entire Mendham boys basketball team for their incredibly inspired play on January 4th against Pope John. After losing classmates Matt LaRosa and Will Thomas unexpectedly three days prior, the entire Mendham student body and staff were grief stricken. Knowing their school needed some kind of relief, the Minutemen boys basketball team took matters into their own hands. In front of a standing room only gym, the Minutemen played superbly, defeating Pope John 63-46 as their fans cheered to the final whistle.

This amazing performance will go down as one of the meaningful sports games ever in Mendham history and earned this squad the 1st Player of the Week of the year for Morris Sussex Sports. Please joining me in congratulating the players that make up this team:

Mason Seel, Sean Bierals, John McGuire, Jack Kelly, PJ Ryan, Justin Biemfohr, Seth Barsi, Jack Journeycake, TJ Garrison, Gabe Levey, Brian Jamer, Mathew McFadden, Jesse Hafemeister, Brendan Verhoest, Hunter Johnson, Mike Ewing and Noah Pit.
