The Skinny & Prediction

  • The biggest news this off-season was losing one of the country’s best TE’s Lukas Ungar to injury for basically the second straight season.  While he’ll go on to have a wildly successful playing career at Stanford, it stinks he won’t be able to enjoy playing his senior year.
  • Even though Ungar would have been a monster threat for the Green Wave, the team is still fortified with a ton of great players.  Headlining that group is junior QB Cole Freeman who is an incredible student of the game and tremendous athlete in his own right.
  • Gary Lewis is another versatile athlete that will line up at RB or WR.  When plays breakdown, Freeman will look to Lewis to bail him out.
  • Delby’s schedule is tough but totally doable and you should expect to them to be playing in the Second Season.  But once there, it won’t be easy with the likes of DePaul, RBC and Camden Catholic likely sitting there.  But if the Wave can stay healthy, there is no reason they shouldn’t be competing for a chip come December.
