The Skinny & Prediction

  • There is no reason to beat around the bush, this year’s Par Hills team is stacked.  Quarterback JD Breslauer and receivers Dennis Wilson and EJ Comerford make up a deadly combination that most opponents will have a hard time containing.  Plus Wilson and Comerford both missed most of last year to injury after stellar sophomore campaigns, so they are hungry to make up for lost time.
  • Coach Dave Albano is a 150-win coach with a state title attached to his name.  His offensive of strategy is to score fast and score often and his defensive strategy is to blitz fast and blitz often. And his teams are always well conditioned so opponents need to be ready to run to hang with the Vikings.
  • The Vikings are the team to beat on their schedule so they should easily qualify for the postseason.  Once there, then it gets complicated.  Teams like Ramapo, Summit, Sparta and Rahway will be there and they’ll have the horses to hang with the Vikings.  But by that point, this team will be well oiled so those should be some fun battles.  This state section is loaded with teams that are capable of winning a state title and Par Hills is one of them.
