The Skinny & Prediction

  • Quarterback Jeff Chaplin and wideout Ryan McAndrew have incredible chemistry and will account for a lot of offensive production.  Teams will be forced to over compensate for this duo on any given play because the Crusaders will audible at the line of scrimmage if they see a miss-match.
  • A player that will benefit greatly when defenses stack McAndrew is tight end Matt Luttenberger.  Luttenberger is a 6-2, 220 specimen with soft hands.  He’s a Jason Witten type of relieve valve for QB Chaplin and when he’s in the open field he’s a defensive back’s nightmare (see photo above).
  • Morris Catholic is a contender, make no bones about it.  With that said, their schedule won’t be easy to get through.  Everyone makes the postseason in Non-Public, Group 2 but the trick will be advancing once there.  Facing D1 prospect Jake Mafaro and the defending champions Kittatinny Cougars right before the playoffs will give them a good prep for facing the likes of St. Joe’s Hammonton.
