Five Key Points

1. Coach Andolena was the head coach from 2007 to 2012 but has stayed on in some capacity to help Jerry Venturino and Mike Moschella when took over the reigns.  Now he’s back at the helm and is looking to help the Chief’s bounce back after a 0-10 campaign.
2. Senior quarterback Danny Farina is a 6-3, 190-pound athlete that can make all the throws and scramble when he needs to.  He’ll be a weapon that can score in a multitude of ways.
3. Jake Terebecke, DaeShawn Thomas, Nate Hoffman, Evan Hattrich, Roger White and Liam McGuire bring a lot of strength and athleticism to the trenches.  Those horses up front is will open up a lot of things on both sides of the ball.
4. Navigating this schedule is going to be tricky with teams like Kittatinny, Lenape Valley, Newton and High Point who are all pre-season favorites to make it far into the playoffs.  And the other teams on their schedule can also easily be playoff teams as well.  The good news is each of these opponents carries a lot of Power Points.
5. Don’t fret if you are a Hopatcong fan.  You will not endure another 0-10 season.  This squad worked incredibly hard in the off-season and they are built to hang with every opponent.  Expect a lot of close games.  The trick for the Chief’s will be coming on the winning end of those close games.  A five win season might just get them into the dance.
