Five Key Points

1. MoBeard’s veteran line will be a huge asset for the Crimson behind experienced guys like Pat Salazar, George Burke and Joe DePoalo.  They are all three and four year starters who’ve seen it all.  Their leadership will help give confidence to the younger skill guys.
2.  Opposing teams must know where Nate Panza is on both sides of the ball at all times.  He’s a big, fast play-maker who can score on any given play and is a turnover machine on D.
3.  There are a lot of skill players on this team.  One guy who is poised to be a special teams phenom is junior JayShon DuBose.  DuBose went to the Meet of Champions last year as a sprinter and is one of the fastest players in Morris-Sussex.
4.  MoBeard’s coaching staff is loaded great football minds.  Coach Fell himself has been around the block, cutting his teeth at Seton Hall Prep before taking over at MoBeard and producing quite a few Division 1 recruits.  Kevin Meany has been a head coach himself and knows how to run a strong program.  Cullen Jenkins was a superstar in the NFL for 12-years.  Michael Briggs is former Morristown star who did a stint as a player at the University of Miami and helped develop many of the top players in Morris-Sussex at the lower levels.  That kind of bench strength makes the Crimson potent against formidable opponents and in close scoring games.
5.  MoBeard’s schedule will take them all over New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.  This group should fair well and if they can remain healthy, could be in a good position come playoff time.
