Five Key Points

1. This is the first time in a long time that the schedule gods have had mercy on the Redhawks. For years, they’ve been forced to battle against bigger programs.
2. The schedule wasn’t the only break the Redhawks got this year. They also had four transfer players in skill guys Agyemang and Rillo, as well as sophomore linemen Ben Scalchi (5-10, 215) William Walker (5-10, 225).
3. Although things are falling into place for Parsippany, don’t think it’s by accident. Coach Jason Hurta has spend the last several years as head coach doing everything he can to change the culture of Redhawk football, from the youth program all the way up. As a former player from the early 1990s, he has a vested interest in building a successful program and the good fortune he’s getting now is by creating his own luck. His 2018 motto is “Commit to Change”.
4. The heart of this team is a tight knit junior class that is motivated to win. With seniors and juniors filling in the puzzle pieces, the Redhawks will be a formidable competitor in this league.
5. Getting to the postseason dance will probably take five regular season wins. The second half of the schedule might be harder than the first so winning early is going to be key.
