The late Godfather of Boonton lacrosse Dick Rizk would have been mighty proud of his Bombers as they thwarted a feisty Nutley team in the 1st Annual Dick Rizk Memorial Lacrosse game. Boonton won 5-4 but Nutley didn’t make it easy after a second half run with strong offense and amazing defensive play by goalie Johnny Matrona. But Bomber attackman Joe Chermak had other notions as he put it out of reach with his second goal of the game in the forth quarter.
Watch it all unfold as Ryan Sudol and Derek DePascale break it all down in Morris Sussex Sports’ play-by-play broadcast of this May 5th match-up.
*Please note that our broadcast crew mistakenly referred to Nutley goalie Johnny Matrona as teammate Mike Nocerino.
