Morristown seemed to be on a mission as the Lady Colonials came out with their high flying offense and lock down defense. Motown forward Tara O’Neill was a woman possessed as she stole the ball away from the Lady Minutemen multiple times in the opening quarter, converting scores like it was her job.

Mendham was able to catch their breath with strong play by Jess Hall, Marissa Spletter, Mackenzie Conroy and Nikki Surella. Taylor LaSorsa and Joey Meyers started to move around the court to stretch the Colonials’ defense but Motown’s Raechel Parnell came off the bench to stifle any kind of Mendham run.

By the second quarter, Motown seemed to doing everything right with strong offensive play by O’Neill, Elizabeth Strambi, Jessica Willette and Nicole Ferrara. Deep into the 4th quarter when the game was out of reach, senior Amber Carrington put the exclamation point on the contest with not one, but two dazzling three-pointers.
