Vernon was able to flex their hockey muscles over upper division favorite Morris Knolls in a game where they gained momentum as the game went on in a 3-1 victory. Viking’s Shane Brennan, Ryan Eilinger and Patrick Graham were able to all score after Morris Knoll’s Kyle Conklin drew first blood in the 2nd period.

Brennan changed the tied with a nifty goal in front of the net off a nicely placed Steven Gay assist with 3:02 left in the 2nd period. The Vikings seem to get more confident after Ryan Eilinger’s powerful slap-shot from 40-feet out. The Vikings controlled the puck for most of the 3rd period and Patrick Graham added an insurance goal on a power-play which all but iced it for Vernon.
