3rd Team

Team Captain: Masyn Sanchez Dover 12

Despite a career full nagging injuries, Dover RB Masyn Sanchez was still the heart and sole of this Tiger team. Dover went 0-9 this past season but the teams’ demeanor would have made you think they were 9-0. Sanchez’s leadership was one of the main reasons for that (photo by Bryan Metz).

West Morris tight end Jake Ligos (86) was a huge boost to the Wolfpack offense.  Ligos is an excellent blocker which allows Coach Hennelly to stack virtually two offensive tackles on one side of the line.  He also has very soft hands which makes him a legitimate down-field threat (Photo by Al Wehrhahn).

One opposing coach told me, “We couldn’t block that kid.  No matter what we did, we couldn’t stop him.” about Newton 6-5, 250-pound defensive tackle Troy Babcock (50).  The senior finished with 50 tackles, 6 sacks and 4 blocked passes to help his Braves win the state title (photo by Bryan Metz).
