1st Team

Team Captain: Nick Verducci Parsippany Hills 12

It didn’t matter how big the challenge was during this high school career, Verducci (2)always rose to the occasion.  We couldn’t think of any other player that we’d want captaining our 1st Team (photo by Al Wehrhahn).

I didn’t matter who was covering Jaiden Elliot (7) this season, if the ball was thrown in his direction you knew he was catching it.  If you watch the film of the Newton State Championship game, you knew there was no way Elliot was going to let his Braves lose (photo by Bryan Metz).

Whippany Park defensive linemen Nick Folgia (56) loomed over opponents like they were middle school players this season.  At 6-1, 280-pounds he was a imposing figure but he was far from all looks.  His first step quickness could compete against any skill player and his 107 tackles and 8 sacks is the reason the Wildcat’s were a nightmare for opponents in 2017 (photo by Lisa Mita).

Team Specials

If you are creating an All Star team of Morris-Sussex players, Ryan Greenhagen has to be on it somewhere.  The 6, 225-pound senior has the size and speed to play any position on the defense.  This past season, he had 107 tackles, 2 INTs, 3 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery for a TD and 11 quarterback hurries – and that was against the best high school teams in the country (photo by Morris Sussex Sports).
