On Friday night, a fire tore through a Pennsauken home, killing a man and a woman.
Around 11:30 p.m. on Friday, Pennsauken police and firemen responded to a house fire in the 1600 block of 48th Street, according to authorities.
The home’s second level was heavily engulfed in flames when the crews arrived.
The first-floor tenants had already left and were safe. Inside the flat on the second story, the man and lady were discovered dead.
According to Pennsauken Fire Chief Jonathan Hutton, it took roughly forty minutes to contain the fire.
The victims’ official identities are still being sought by officials. The cause of the fire is still being looked into.
