Early Monday morning, a shooting at an unofficial music festival after party in downtown Los Angeles left two individuals dead and at least six others injured, according to authorities.

Only a guy and a woman were identified by the authorities as the deceased. Gregory Derisso, 29, was the deceased man, according to KABC.

In the shooting, no suspects have been publicly named or taken into custody. Police told KTLA that at least one of the six injured individuals was in critical condition at the hospital.

The shooting occurred at the site of a party advertised on social media as Way After You Go Hard Afterparty Day 2, according to KTLA. The party was not formally approved by the event organizers, but it was riding high on the Hard Summer music festival in Hollywood Park, which is located in Inglewood, roughly nine miles south.

Two hours before to the incident, at approximately 11 p.m. on Sunday, police broke up what they described as a large gathering at the site when they saw someone carrying a gun enter the structure. For possessing a firearm, one person at the scene was taken into custody.

However, two hours later, police were called to the same spot regarding gunfire. According to KTLA, there was a sizable gathering in the street when they got there.

According to Los Angeles Police officer Norma Eisenman, the girl victim was declared dead at a local hospital, while the male victim was discovered dead at the site.

Although it features musicians from other genres, Hard Summer, which debuted in 2007, mostly focuses on electronic dance and techno. French DJ Gesaffelstein and EDM DJ Dom Dolla were the festival’s main acts on Sunday, the second day of the two-day event.

The Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers’ home stadium, SoFi Stadium, is next to the festival’s Hollywood Park venue.
