Hanover Park senior guard Mike Boeckel went down in infamy as he passed 1,000 career points in his 35-point performance in the Hornets 76-51 defeat over the West Morris Wolfpack. The stars aligned for Boeckel who achieved this milestone on Senior Night in front of his own crowd.
With big performances by Alex Malofienko (9-rebounds, 7-assists and 17-points), Kyle Junda (3-rebounds, 3-assists and 7-points) and Hikmat Sabeh (9-rebounds, 1-steal and 8-points), the Hornets were able to ensure Boeckel would get a win during his milestone night.
Boeckel was 9-points away from 1,000 coming into this game and it was apparent his teammates were feeding him early. It didn’t take long because before the first quarter was over Boeckel was immortalized.
Watch it all unfold in the Morris Sussex Sports broadcast as commentaed by Ryan Sudol, Shane Connuck and George Muha.
